It seems that the highly anticipated reveal of the Hummer EV has been put on hold until further notice by its maker. The rumored 1000 horsepower electric SUV was set for a May 20, 2020 debut. In a press statement the company said, "While we cannot wait to show the GMC Hummer EV to the world, we will reschedule the May 20 reveal date. In the meantime, the team’s development work continues on track and undeterred. We invite all to stay tuned for more stories on this super truck’s incredible capability leading up to its official debut."
For now, the company has been revealing the Hummer EV's impressive performance metrics on its social media channels. The Hummer EV will be an electric super truck, which will generate remarkable metrics in terms of horsepower, torque, and acceleration while providing incredible on- and off-road capability. The Hummer EV will be built in Michigan at General Motors’ Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant.
